I’ll go into this in more depth later, but here’s Zali playing the victim to mid-wit Nine journalist Georgie Gardner. Yeah, I know, they’re all mid-wits. Gardner now has her own issues now that will also be interesting to explore. Any intelligence on these beyond the public reporting will be gratefully received. Why does Nine pay this talentless woman $600,000 a year to work two days a week, allegedly bully her much younger staff and provide political cover for Teal MPs that represent green-left, corporate rent-seekers, the Lower North Shore’s idle rich and Simon Holmes a Court?

Anyway, here’s Zali playing the victim, after being given a lay-up by Gardner to dunk on Abbott and Advance Australia, neither of whom had the nuts to push back.

Georgie Gardner: “It’s sexist, it’s inaccurate. What can you do about it”.

Zali Steggall: “Oh look, Wikipedia at least you can get them to change it and lock down the page, so that’s fine. But it’s more what it means and what kind of leadership are you inspiring if your followers think that’s the way to win an election. Uhmm, I think what it says is actually, and I think at this point Mr Abbott should be calling it out and saying it’s unacceptable and really saying that that kind of behaviour is unacceptable. It’s that fear and smear, and people are tired of it, and it’s time to move on.”

Georgie Gardner: “Who’s behind it?”

Zali Steggall: “Again it’s, trolls are always anonymous. You know, I assume it’s not people that have … ah, ah … not represented their country at the Olympics, and done great things”.

Well, it looks I’ve just stepped in to fill the breach here. I have no idea who it was in 2019, but in late-2024 it’s the former Chief Economist, at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stepping up to call Zali out, and asking her to explain herself. She’ll try her hardest to ignore it, and will only address her dishonesty if someone turns the heat up on her by funding the digital media campaign to push this around her electorate, at which point she’ll step back onto The Today Show to have a second bite of the cherry playing the victim. At that juncture, it’s vitally important to push back hard and point out, no she’s not, she’s just a filthy liar.

Didn’t the people that support Steggall’s election campaign arrange to have me doxxed by Mark Bretherton, the Media Manager at the Clean Energy Council. I don’t think representing Australia at the Olympics means you’ve actually done great things, I’ve seen great things done by non-Olympians and even written about them. More importantly, I was calling out the economic parasites at the Clean Energy Council way before it was politically fashionable, and where the hell was the Coalition, or for that matter the Productivity Commission on the tens of billions of dollars in subsidies the renewables industry receive? Their Trade and Assistance Review doesn’t mention it at all any more, a serious matter of great concern in its own right.
